They're beautiful. Can they grow in low light? I had a chance to get a huge one yesterday but couldn't think of one available spot to put it. Of course as soon as I got home from the greenhouse I spotted a place but it's sort of dark and a plant light isn't an option.
0 LikesThank you so much! And I wouldnât put them in low lightâI would get a grow light. Iâve got a shelf and some cheap grow lights from Amazon; theyâre not super great, as you can see by how long the stems on my Jacklyn are, since theyâre stretching for even more light. When you say âlow light,â what do you mean? I would love to see what kind of Alocasia you have, and if you can just stick it in a window that has a good direction of light. Alocasias usually do best in bright, indirect lightâso an east-facing window is great, and a south- or west-facing one can work too if you filter the light a bit. You can also get plant lights that go in the pot and are USB-compatible. It really depends on what kind of Alocasia you have and how big you want your leaves to be, as in low light they put out smaller leaves. đđ
