I just bought my first lithops! 💕 I did a lot of research to understand the growing cycle of lithops, but I’m struggling to know which cycle mine is currently in. I live in zone 5. My lithops is in a 1 inch pot and is very small, has no shriveling leaves and is plump. Does it mean it’s dormant?

It does not mean that it's dormant. It looks very healthy to me I would just give it a little time and see what it does next. We, here in zone 5, are coming into the growing season. The greatest enemy of lithop is over watering!

Thanks! I will only water it if it’s becomes very wrinkly, and I will stop watering when it grows a new plant!💕

I don't know if I would wait till it gets "very wrinkled" . Water in the spring and in the fall when the soil is very dry. Water less or not at all in The heat of Summer in the cold of winter. This is when it is dormant. Apparently living Stones have subterranean leaves that they can reach down and get moisture. Who knew! You should Google "growing lithops the spruce". It's a great informative website.
