    Haha awww 🥹 And great price for a nice mature one! Long story short(ish): my partner I’d been living with for almost two years dumped me out of the blue and I had to move back in with my mom back in April. Rental prices are off the hook here, and I was 4 and a half classes away from finishing the degree program I’ve been working on. So my mom has been tolerating my giant plant collection in the mean time, as graciously as she can 😂🥰 But anyways, she is the peace lily whisperer. Hers get sooo enormous! She splits them, they keep growing, then she has multiple enormous plants she can’t fit anywhere 😂 She keeps threatening to just get rid of them because she’s overwhelmed by how fast and big they grow. I’ve been subtly trying to get her to let me buy her some fancy variegated peace lilies because I want to see what they look like in their full-grown glory under her care lol I really want to just surprise her with one, like your mom did for you, but she’s clearly requested that I stop acquiring new plants while I’m here 😅 And I’ve already been so bad and gotten some rare cuttings last week 😬😬 I love gifting and being gifted plants, but I’ve shot myself in the foot in that regard by gifting too many plants to myself already 🤪

      Rental prices are off the hook just about anywhere seems like ! But good call, that just means more money to save for rent and plants 🤪🤣 Bahahaha you’ll definitely have to get her one once all your plants are gone ! My mom can kill a cactus so plants are a no go for her 🤣 I’ve recently sent her with a pothos to work at least there will be other people watching over it too 💀 she’s really gotten more into plants tho along with my journey 😆 she always has some random plant things to show me or have gotten me like prop holder guys, trellis, soil. Haha it might just be her enjoying how excited I get about the stuff but it makes me excited how into it she’s getting from my second hand lol.

      Ooh you’re right, I should give her something nice when I finally get out of her hair! 😍😂 The inverse care package lol Hehehe she doesn’t like when I give her plant care suggestion 🤭 She always says “excuse me, I thought you everything you know!” And I say “you thought me everything YOU know and I added onto that knowledge” 😉 She’s still wayyyyy more knowledgeable and skillful than me with outdoor plants though! She has several English-inspired flower gardens with seasonal layering so that there’s always blooms from spring to fall. Not to mention a whole produce catalog that my stepdad helps her grow! He’s an old-school farmer and her personal work horse lol. Although he’s getting a hip replacement this fall…. I admire their hard work but I also wish they weren’t working themselves to pieces 😅 But I must expose my mom for being a chronic overwaterer of house plants 🤭 I say she keeps them too wet, she says I keep mine to dry… but only one of us is having melting plant issues 👀 But that’s why the peace lilies lover her! Gotta play to your strengths ☺️ When I try to show her my favorite new leaves, I can see her mentally fighting between “wow that’s pretty!” and “omg they’re growing too big and too fast” 😂💚
