Dragonplants
I cut these potatoes a month ago and one doesn't have roots but it has buds. The other one is just roots. Can someone tell me why. I've never grown sweet potatoes before.

I placed into pot a sweet potato that had overgrown in my pantry. It got 8 hours of direct sunlight (95°-100°F) each day. It produced one little potato. Ideally, the potato slips (baby plants) should be removed and planted to produce a lot more potatoes in about 4 - 5 months.
