Can someone tell me what what that bulbous thing is on my watermelon peperomia? Should I chop it off so it can focus on its leaf production?

Is that a watermelon peperomia? I wouldn’t think so.

I was confident it was. Is it possible it’s something else?

It just looks SO different from mine. I’m going to do some research to see if I can figure it out.

Is yours a mini watermelon by any chance? I was surprised at how big the leaves of a normal watermelon pepperomia was when I saw it the first time.

Our local nursery does a lot of propagation sized plants so I’m not positive 😅

Personal preference. I keep mine cause I like the look of em, but it does take energy from the plant to grow it

I think it’s a dwarf watermelon? I like the flowers, too

The stems and that flower look very different than a peperomia. I’m going to speculate it’s a Pilea…. But not sure.

I tried the scanner on the app and it keeps pointing to a watermelon peperomia but please let me know other wise. 😅😅😅
