Just rescued this Jade plant (Crassula ovata “Hummel’s Sunset”) from a friend! Don’t ask me the last time the poor thing was watered, but I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks in a few weeks with some care. I think the recovery pics will be cool so I figured I’d share XD

I love Jade’s they’re one of my favs.. I have 3. I love that you can lightly pinch the leaves and if it’s squishy, water. if it’s firm, leave it. it’s so easy! And yes that one is quite dehydrated.. my smaller-leaved jades have that happen when I’ve just been too busy, but they always come back, or just fall off. they are quite resilient plants. these are some older pics from over the summer. they have grown loads since then.

Ah I love yours they’re so cute! I have a jade problem lol, the different kinds are just too cool to grow and look at. Right now I have 8, but my pride and joy is this ripple leaf jade, most of the others are still little guys but I’m hoping they turn into monsters someday! (Pray for my living/walking space when that day comes lol)

Jade plants can survive a nuclear apocalypse so, you should be good. I have one that lives outside in South Wales UK, temperature drops to sometimes minus 6 Celsius and it still grows on year on year.

That’s impressive! Maybe someday when I’m running out of room to put them I’ll try to winter one outdoors, but I’d be too scared the temperature swings would kill it lol, we can get much colder where I’m at
