My spider plant is FLOWERING!!! I have 2 questions though. 1. My spider plants leaves are getting brown on the edge. (Photo 2) If my plant is doing so well it’s flowering, why are they brown?? How do I fix it. 2. How do I make the plants pups into separate plants. Cut them here (photo 3) and put in water?

These are a few ways to plant pups, my favorite is to not cut it from the parent, put it in a pot about to the base of the first set of leaves, and then cut it once it has an established root system of its own.

If you wait a while the pups will grow rootlets, and then you can put them in anything you want. As for the browning leaves: a self-watering pot helps because then it gets consistent moisture, and I've heard watering with rain water helps too, but I haven't tried that. Supposedly the brown tips are impurities collecting in the tips of the leaves?
