Is this normal for a ZZ? I rescued it a couple months ago. I repotted her and she's been outside getting exposed to the elements because I'm sure she had some bugs or something. There's nothing on her leaves now except for these spots. I just don't want her to have something that might spread to my other girls. Any advice would be appreciated, this is my first ZZ.

The tiny black spots on the stalks are actually pretty common in ZZ plants. They are often natural pigmentation (called lenticles), which the plant uses for gas exchange. They don’t necessarily indicate pests or disease. The fact that your leaves look healthy and shiny is a really good sign. if it were a fungal or pest issue, you’d usually also see leaf yellowing, curling, sticky residue, or fuzzy/moldy growth. Since you mentioned it had pests before, it’s good you kept it outside for a while. But the current speckling doesn’t look like active bugs more like normal ZZ markings or some past minor stress.

Thank you so much for the tiny education on the ZZ. Glad she's healthy!
