Our first herb garden right before we brought it in to darkness. My 9 year old son did this with me and we have no clue what we’re doing. The pic is getting chopped but it’s 10 different herbs. I know there’s too much water in the cilantro. I let my son do this step.
i would definitely recommend a squeezey squirt bottle, idk if that makes sense🤣here is mine, you squeeze it and a small stream comes out that is very easy to control. i had to snip mine a tiny bit but it works great for those small plants. that will definitely help your son with appropriate watering:) water enough to keep the soil moist until they sprout; but not wet, we want strong roots!:) and then every few days once the plants grow a bit bigger. if it helps, i use a moisture meter, they are $10 on amazon, you stick it in the dirt and it will tell you how wet/dry the bottom of the pot is. i would recommend keeping them in a full sun window for now(depending on where you are if it is cold still) and then acclimating them to outside light once it gets warmer, and bring them out in the day and inside at night, until it is warm enough for them to go outside, if that is the plan, otherwise indoors in a full sun window :)
