What does it mean by check the soil? I am VERY new to the plant family. Are they saying to water more if it’s dry?

    yup, i think just check the soil to see if it’s dried up faster since it’s hot and maybe move any plants prone to scorched leaves farther away from windows getting lots of light/heat

    I think it's saying, since it's hot, the water will evaporate and the soil will get dry faster, so see if it's dry before watering. You can use a soil meter, check by finger, or check with a chopstick
