Decided to combine two of my peperomia red margins into a mega-peperomia. Did this a while back with my marbled and pepperface peperomias, but I’d love to turn this into a thread where everyone can share their peperomias (and let anyone who needs to hear it know that if you have a plant you really like, but just wish it would grow a little bigger a little faster, or look a little fuller, you can totally cheat and buy two of the same plant and combine them 😉)

I would absolutely love a peperomia subgroup! 😃 I hope they make one someday.

I love them! Yours look great! 😆 I’ve got 3 of the ones in your first photo. It’s great to find others that appreciate the underrated peperomia 😊

This was my first peperomia, Penny. She grows like a weed and I swear she’s got a new row of leaves in the works every 2 weeks. I know I should probably give her a haircut at some point, but I’m really tempted to get a little garland or some lights and turn her into a really silly Christmas tree 🎄😂

I’ll be sure to post it if I do this Christmas 🎅 this was my other combined peperomia from a few months back. I just really love how many unique cultivars there are in the species 🥰 and that even the rare ones are usually pretty affordable. That’s probably why I haven’t managed to leave my favorite nursery without picking another new one up… 😬

I really hope you find one! I got my watermelon peperomia off of Etsy of all places. She was a present for my dad, though, so I’m hoping I find one for myself soon 😬

Awwww suuuuper cuuuute!!! And I love your marble one! It looks like a marble queen pothos in peperomia form!! Here’s mine. His name is Shrek and he’s growing like a weed now! He’s about 12” tall, I’m considering chopping and propping and making him fuller. Do peperomias even do that?

Thank you! I always thought it kinda looked like a marbled pothos too. I don’t know why the variegated varieties of peperomia aren’t as popular given how much easier they are to care for in comparison to other variegated plants. And your Shrek is gorgeous! I’ve been considering chopping and propping my Penny myself. You definitely can do so with stem and leaf cuttings, but if you plan on doing it anytime soon, I highly recommend dipping the ends in Bonide’s rooting hormone powder to speed up the rooting process.

There’s that little part of me that wants to leave her be and see just how tall she’ll get before I intervene, though 😂 Penny’s around 8 1/2 inches tall from the top of her soil to the top of her leaves. My plan is to wait until the stems are really tall, then I’ll cut them in half and propagate them to fill out the sides a little more, that way everything will be close in length and the propagated pieces won’t look like random add-ins, but around the same height as the current branches 😈

Thank you!! I had to put in the cages from my pointsetta cuz he was getting a wee bit tippy when I’d take him out to water. I kinda wanna see how tall he’d grow too just to find out. lol. Maybe I’ll chop 3 of his stems and leave the past to see how tall it’ll go. 🤭 Good tip about the rooting hormone! I’ll def have to do that if I chop them. I’ve not heard of anyone chopping a peperomia other then the pilea one so I’ll have to google To see how easily they root/how best to prop them.
