My Dumb Cane is literally out of control!! I have four sections of the plant that can be cut and hopefully successfully propagated. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

My husband and kids and family don’t want me to cut it either but, it’s only got a few more feet left before it’s got no more room to grow. It’s just about touching the skylight in a room with a cathedral ceiling!! LOL 😂
