2 weeks ago I repotted my mother in laws very sorry looking Jadeā¦ she didnāt want it back and now I get to watch it come back to life! It now has a lovely sunny spot in a south window and these teeny new shoots make me so happy! It did need a wee chop and now have 6 cuttings in perlite, along with the 3 other Jades I had of my own! Not quite sure what to do with them all but until the spring at least, theyāre not going anywhere! š

1 gilla By her own admission sheās not good with plants šā¦ Iāve also found out today that itās at least 30-40 years old! Sheās also ādonatedā a Flaming Katy she had too! šā¦ and tbh I think theyāre much happier in my sunny lounge window āļø
What a great gift! I had a feeling it was pretty old š itās a little older than mine, then! I wanted to give mine a little popsicle stick treehouse before I cut the longer branches down š recently propped some from my 30 yo and theyāve turned a lovely burgundy color. Iād be excited to see how much yours grows now that itās in good hands š±
Iām made up with it! I may have to chop it again in a few months as still has a low drooping branch but for now Iām not, it needs all the leaves it can get to photosynthesise and get back on track hehe. Iāll keep you posted!
