New pretties my amazing hubby got for me on the weekend! 😍😍😍 Raven ZZ, Tradescantia Nanouck, & string of turtles. All wish list plants! 😍🤩😍 They’ve been treated and are sitting in isolation on my kitchen table. Can’t wait to find them new homes!! How long y’all think they need to be isolated for? A week seem OK? I’m eager to set them out properly!!!
I usually isolate my new plants 2 to 4 weeks. I spray them with a diluted dish water solution or a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution twice week.
1 like Oh!!! I have to reapply frequently. Good to know!!! (Maybe that’s why my last plant gave me gnats! 🤬) I did a hydrogen peroxide/water soak. I’ll have to do the spray too just in case there’s anything on the leaves I didn’t see.
0 likes It’s better to mix Mosquito Bits or similar in water when watering. It has the Bti bacteria that breaks the life cycle of fungus gnats by killing the larvae in the soil. It also kills mealybugs. It completely clears fungus gnats.
