Hello all, is anyone else enjoying this app as I am? I’ve tried two before this one, and I am really enjoying this app, though I’ve only had for about a month. I’ve dabbled with plants before with my Fuschias, but just recently dove into the plant world hardcore-like. I have been picking up plants and reading about them in the past two months after I was given a golden Pothos by an exiting coworker. After making a comment about trying to remember when to water, a friend recommended this app. I like that the app creates a personalized watering and care schedule, and doesn’t limit the number of plants I can enter without paying for the Premium version. I also like that there’s a community of plant lovers to interact with, sharing similar interests. My friends tire of my plant talk lately, haha. I’ll be purchasing the premium soon to enjoy it more, but I just wanted to share my enjoyment of this app. As an ice-breaker, when I started my favorite was my monstera, but I have since picked up a philodendron Florida, pictured, and it has become my current favorite, with plans to repot and provide a moss pole for massive growth, mwhahaha 😈 What’s your current favorite? How long have you had this app? And how long have you been involved with plants? 🤔

Hello, Well what a great icebreaker! I’m coming from another app and joined 3 days ago. I love it so far! My friends are also tired of the plant talk since that’s honestly all I do with my spare time. The plant that got me into this is this beautiful snow queen I picked up at a grocery store (it was amongst several dozen of green ones) I have been into plants for the past year and a half but I grew up in a household full of them. I just never got it until that first leaf on that snow queen.

But my current favourite is my alocasia ninja. (Don’t tell the other) definitely the one that confirmed my love for the genus.

Hi all! I love this app and being able to share a common interest. Being fairly new to plants, I have learned so much here. I think I joined in early July. I have so many plant favorites! I think my favorite of the week is my string of turtles. I really love them all tho so much! Pic to follow.

I used to garden out doors but I'm not able to anymore because of a serious case of OFS (old fart syndrome) that came with coranary bypass surgery, emphysema and arthritis. My cardiologist recommended some house plants for the bedroom to boost the oxygen. It was like a drug dealer giving me the first fix free 😂 Now, 4 years later I have 75+ plants. It's a great hobby and an excellent way to put a dent in my social Security. My favorite plant is my philodendron Spiritus Sancti, the rarest plant in the world, the price for a 6" peaked at $15,000 during the lock-down. I bought mine as a starter plant with one small leaf for $75. The price has come down to slightly pricey since then

Wow!! That’s incredible and an incredible story, glad you’re still with us, and glad the plants have helped. Your Spiritus Sancti looks amazing! Great job!

I also see what appears to be a philodendron ring of fire off to the right 🤩 found one on discount not too long ago looking hurt, never intended to buy, total impulse purchase, walked 2/3rds of a mile home with it, lol, called it 2/3rds. 😂

Welcome! Lovely plant!😍 I’ve been on Planta three years. I love plants. But, heavy traveling for both work and vacations prohibited me from owning house plants for many years. I got back into caring for indoor plants during the Covid lockdown to keep from going stir crazy. I have over two hundred. Tropical plants are my favorite group. Hoyas are my new happy place having discovered them 3 years ago when I got this app. My all time favorite and oldest is the Crinum Lily. My son will be the 4th generation caring for them. They grow well in both the garden and in pots outside. They are huge with seven feet leaves and softball size bulbs. 🪴🍀

Beautiful Lillies! I’m a fan, haha, I bought some tiger lilies from my son’s school fundraiser one year, got three years of great flowers! You have quite a bit of experience, that’s awesome, hope to maybe learn more from people like you, thank you!

This was my first plant app! Did ALOT of random research to find it😂 I started growing plants about three years ago. I love them!! I actually good my brother obsessed with them to. It was one of the first things we both really got into which made our relationship much stronger than it had ever been before. My fist plant was a baby spider plant from a plant a close family gave us when they moved to Belize.
