Hey guys! New on this app. Check out my little guy “Virtue” I’m new to planting, but I love flowers and nature. I’d love to get another soon! Any recommendations for a beginner? I’ve had virtue for about a month now! :)

pothos, philodendron, and monstera are good and easy to care for. then the dieffenbachia, peperomia and those relatives. really depends on ur lighting and how much u want to fuss over them
1 j'aimeSounds good! I’ll definitely do my research. Thank you, I’m definitely wanting to have more plants.
1 j'aimeooo calatheas, syngonium, and like peace lilies
1 j'aimeMost common newbie problem is over watering. Make sure your pot has a drain hole or if you have a cover pot make sure you drain it after you water. All but a few plants will not like sitting in a puddle of water. Chinese evergreens are very nice but the pink ones are especially temperamental. Really anything that has a lot of white or pink in it can be a little touchy. If you have pets you will want to watch for toxicity. Many plants have mild symptoms of stomach upset and digestive issues but there are a few that result in more serious respiratory symptoms. Dieffenbachia is one of these. Your selections really depend on the lighting you can give it. Many people get plant lights to help with this. You seem to be doing well with your Dracaena. They look quite happy. With the growing season beginning, you will want to consider giving this and any upcoming plants regular fertilizer during the growing season. To start with I would buy any plants at a garden center rather than online. This way you can get some advice and recommendations.
2 J'aimeThank you so much! I have a drainage hole. Do you recommend after I water and let drain I keep the drainage hole stopper from underneath? Or should I put the stopper back underneath? Hopefully that makes sense.
0 J'aimeRemove that stopper and throw it away. That is only used when you are double potting-placing a nursery pot inside your decorative pot. Good luck and many people here to give you some ideas.
2 J'aimeGreat! Thank you so much!
0 J'aimePersonally I would keep the stopper in case I wanted to use it as a cover pot and then I would forget where I put the stopper!
