I decided to get an air plant! Any tips, this is my first.
Tips ! Watering - Don’t mist they like being fully submerged in water except the part on the bottom that is brown (if you do that can cause root rot ) so always turn upside down Sunlight - They like almost any sunlight except direct sunlight (the leafs can get scorched) I have mine in a part shade area just they need to be in some sunlight Pots - I like taking mine out of the pot to get more sunlight on the whole plant they love it ! (Every once in a while ) Food - air plants don’t really need to be fertilized mine do just fine I have never fertilized them but if you do use an air plant specific fertilizer! I have found some from south side plants or Amazon ! That’s it ! If you have any questions feel free to ask ! I have way to many air plants lol

1 LikeWait wait wait, so they need to be in water of a very specific height?

0 LikesI have 3 air plants who I will fully submerge once a week for 30mins to an hour at a time. Whatever amount of time I submerge them for, I double the drying time and dry them upside down because the water can pool in their leaves and cause rot. They seem to really like this!

You also need to fertilise them. Add feed to the water maybe every 3 weeks at half strength when you submerge them.
