Money Tree Issues Hey guys! So I just returned home after a couple days away to find that my money tree is basically dead. I was wondering if you all could give me tips on how to bring him back to life. For reference, I’ve had the plant for 6 months. Only change was this plant grower I used once - never again- and it’s much cooler in my room due to AC Thank you!
They usually like it near a window. Trim the dead or dying leaves. If they are dying, you can usually pull on them just a little and they come off. Do not try to overwater it to compensate for the lack of water - I’ve done this and was devastated. Mine seem to do better if I put it near a window and mostly ignore. I live in Houston, so it’s quite humid, even inside. Do not put outside.
2 Likes Thank you so much for this advice! I did pull off what was dead or what was loose - maybe I need to place it closer to the window. I’ve never had a problem up until the last couple weeks - after using the shitty plant food from Walmart as stated above. I’ll have to put it closer and see how it reacts
0 Likes Good luck! Supposedly they are easy plants, but I think they are quite temperamental and moody. For fertilizer, I usually use Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant food or similar by Schultz.
