Petals n pothos

Was walking a friend's dog in the woods yesterday and came across an alocasia regal shields (I think - the leaves look more black in person than in the pic) growing wild, so I went back and dug up a bulb and it had corms, and I got those too. I've always wanted an alocasia, but I'm a little bit intimidated by them because of the specificity of care they need. Wish me luck!

Good luck! Put the corm in sphagnum moss or fluval stratum and keep moist(not soggy). When it grows, if it starts losing leaves, you can rehab in water (works almost every time 👌🤌).

I’ve had mine for a little over a year, repotted it into a chunky aroid mix. It’s growing rapidly, and seems to be a heavy feeder. It’s hard to measure, but it’s about quintupled in size in 12 months.
