got some new plants today! if anyone has tips for raising either of them please let me know. lighting, watering, etc. any advice is helpful as I am sort of new to the plant world!

    For the anthurium - they love chunky soil (orchid bark, perlite, coco chips, etc) and relatively small pots. Lots of indirect light

    And for the cactus - looks like it might be a moon cactus which are tropical! They like indirect light and high humidity

      Here’s the ID link for your moon cactus. https://links.getplanta.com/xDRX If you ever need to repot it, PLEASE don’t use Miracle Grow’s cactus mix (or any of their soil. They’re plant killers and their soil stays moist for way too long, even the one specifically made for succulents). I highly recommend Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent mix. It runs for about $5-7 in my area and i can get it at my local nursery or Ace Hardware. I bottom water all my plants, especially my succulents, and this will likely make it much easier (and safer, given cacti) to water your cactus. If you’ve never bottom watered a plant, look up “how to bottom water a plant” on YouTube. It’s very easy, helps prevent attracting fungus gnats, helps prevent you from overwatering it, which is especially important with succulents. Hope this helps!
