They all look beautiful! Just highly recommend using Planta as a guide for watering and not a hard fast rule. I always double check my soil before watering, especially my desert plants/succulents

I’d be happy to share some jade plant tips if you’d like đŸ€šđŸŒ the one you have ID’d as a “sedum pachyphyllum” is a gollum or ogre ears jade (crassula ovata).

No problem! I’ll just give a few basics. They’re very low maintenance plants once they’re potted right and find a nice sunny spot to sit. 1. Yours is specifically a gollum or ogre ears jade. They’re close cousins of each other, so look at the IDs for both to determine which one yours looks most like. 2. Their soil needs to be bone dry when you water it. I don’t water any of my jades any earlier than 10-15 days in the summer. I also bottom water all of mine to promote a stronger root system, and prevent overwatering and attracting pests to moist top soil. If you’re new to bottom-watering, look up “how to bottom water a plant” on YouTube. It’s very easy, and in my option makes it easier to water succulents to prevent getting the plant itself wet in the process, since many of them can burn if left wet in bright or direct sunlight. 3. They need a succulent soil. I use Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent mix exclusively for all of my jades and succulents, but pretty much anything other than Miracle grow will do. I avoid miracle grow brand soil cause I’ve found that even their succulent soil holds moisture for way too long, and can lead to rot very quickly for a jade.

      4. If you worry about overwatering, try potting it in a terra cotta pot with a large drainage hole. If you’re not too worried about that, you can try a plastic pot with multiple drainage holes. I use Bloem’s Saturn plastic pots from Lowe’s/Ace Hardware. They enjoy being snug in their pots and getting rootbound, so when repotting, make sure the pot is only 1-2 inches larger in diameter than the previous pot if you’re moving up a size, and that you’re getting a pot to match the size of the root ball, not the height or width of the plant itself. Potting them in too big of a pot can lead to them sitting in too much water or not getting evenly watered. 5. They light bright light. Try to place it in the brightest windowsill or within 1ft of the brightest window you have. Mine are in my south windowsill. A south window would be one that gets around 6+ hours of sunlight a day. 6. To help them grow evenly, rotate the plant a bit after placing it back in its spot after watering so all the sides get even sun exposure. 7. They’re draft sensitive, so when it gets colder, move them away from drafty windows and air vents. They can be moved out of a windowsill but remain within a foot of the window to keep it from getting too cold. They don’t need to be watered as often in the fall and winter. That’s about it! Jades are really low-maintenance plants once they find a space they like. Good luck! 😉
