I’ve had this Zz plant for over two years and I never knew when I should repot it! I finally got it out of the plastic pot and this is what I saw! Any advice on what to do now, should I break up the roots or leave it together? I currently have it in a much bigger pot with fresh soil.

Dang those are some thiccc roots! I wouldn’t risk damaging too much, maybe lightly massage / loosen them a touch but I’ve heard more recently that the plant will be fine potting slightly rootbound - if it’s not totally tangled around itself which this does not look like it is. That one really busy section seems to be growing all parallel and not suffocating itself so I wouldn’t risk snapping any of those personally.

Also don’t go too big on the pot!! Zzs like to be more on the root-bound side. I’ve had mine in the same pot for 3 years 🥰🙂‍↔️

Was it droopy before you repotted it or did it just get droopy?

It could have been really ready for a repot, the soil they put them in isn’t usually the best. Give it some time since the repot and don’t stress too much about it :)
