Cindy BransonThese are a couple of my African Violets; they are my babies. When we moved into our new house I placed a multilevel plant stand near a large picture window in the living room, but one of our guests tripped and fell into the shelves and both of these beauties stems broke off and the one on the left got completely dumped on the floor and the root base took a beating. I thought I had lost them both.😭

They live only in my bedroom now, it serves as my plant hospital. My current favorites are my violets.

Wow they are beautiful! I tried an African violet once and promptly killed it. Maybe I’ll try again soon!

I have several but one is in a hard shock. I had a repotting error. It had been in its pot for about 12 years but all of the sudden it started struggling. During the transfer I felt a pop and half of its huge root base stayed in the old pot. I cried! But my sister said just take the larger portion of the plant repot and feed it, then wait… after four weeks it is starting to look healthier again.

TabbyTaiMy adansonii also! It was half dead and two leaves when I got it for $2 on the distressed plant shelf. Now look at her!! 4 months of growth.
