Hello all ❗️My name is Brii! I'm a 32yr old mom of 4boys❗️🥰Im new here and a fresh plant parent. I was given my first houseplant after a family funeral. I enjoy gardening, DIY, Meditation, Mindfulness, Nature and learning new things! 📸This is my baby, "Kant Akt Wright", a peace lily. If anyone has any tips, ✍🏽🗒I would be so grateful. Also, I’m looking for recommendations of house plants that will go well with this one. I’m located in East Central Indiana if that helps. thanks in advance.     Welcome to the group! You’ll find some really nice people on here full of knowledge. I’m a new plant parent too. Your Lilly is beautiful!! I have an assortment of plants but am partial to Hoyas. Just browse thru the chat and you’ll get some great ideas for plants! Good luck! 🪴

    Welcome to plant parenthood!! I’m in Indy, so same weather! I strongly recommend snake plants, pothoses and other hardier plants like philodendrons in the wintertime because they’ll have a much easier time traveling home from the store with you and acclimating to your house during the cold months when they aren’t actively growing as much. I don’t recommend calatheas (or “prayer plants”) until it gets warmer and you’ve got a little more experience under your belt— they’re the most gorgeous plants but MAN they can be picky! But if you want to give it a go, my rattlesnake calathea is my personal favorite and known as an easier prayer plant.
