I think this golden pothos caught a draft and the. I overwatered it. Is it down for good or should I just let it sit a while? Repot?

As long as there’s a hole in the bottom of that pot, and you can draw out the extra moisture by sitting the pot on a pad of folded paper towels, then it’ll be fine. As long as the leaves are green and supple it will bounce back. You don’t want to let it sit in wet dirt long term because it will get root rot. The easiest way to detect root rot is the yellowing of the leaves starting with the oldest leaves. At that point it’s best to remove it from the pot, clean the roots of all soil and trim off rotten roots (they’ll be slimy), spray the roots with diluted HP water, and put it into a disinfected pot with fresh unused soil. The goldens are the easiest to recover. You almost can’t kill them, except by over watering. Good luck!! You got this!!

I don’t think it needs repotting at this point if there’s a hole in that pot.

Thanks. There is no hole in the bottom of the pot. I just got a new pot with drainage and will do the steps above!

Okay well that explains the drooping. You definitely don’t want to plant anything in a pot without holes. Those are actually called cache pots. They are meant to put a nursery pot down into instead of using a tray. It can be more attractive than a plastic nursery pot sitting in a tray. All of my plants are planted in clear plastic pots and are set into cache pots.

Okay now I’m looking closely at the base of the stem on the left. It looks yellow. Check the roots to see if it’s actually got living roots. If it doesn’t just cut it below a green node and place it in water to root, then replant it. But, if that’s the case you need to get the other plant repotted into clean soil because the root rot is a pathogen and will spread to the other plant.

I would also use a bamboo shishkabob stake to test the moisture in your pots. Those moisture meters are notorious for giving false dry readings and causing overwatering. I have a little stake in each of my pots and I just pull it out and check the wetness of the stake. You need to change the stakes every couple months because they do wear out. You can buy different lengths on Amazon for pretty cheap.
