I’m so happy today my 69 inch tall Madagascar palm I had now for over 36 years has finally decided to flower. My grandmother bought me this when I was just a little kid at the Home and garden show. It was no taller than a pop. Can it sits in front of 9 foot south facing windows so it gets plenty of sunlight all the time I fertilize accordingly and water accordingly, I basically try to treat this like a botanical specimen, which I think it is. I’m so happy.

0 Me gustaIt takes patience, perfect conditions, and proper care to get it the flower they probably wouldn’t have flowered if it wasn’t for that 9 foot south facing window and the fact that I had it for nearly 36 years they have to be mature enough to want a flower and also have near perfect conditions just like they would receive where they come from on the island of Madagascar
0 Me gustaMy plants are facing NW. they don’t get much sun, just for a few hrs. I use a grow light at night for the plants that need sun.😢
