It’s pretty cold here ( but my plant room is happily blooming and vining. My sun ice sculpture out front in effort to inspire more real sunshine ☀

    The plants look amazing but I’m curious how you made that ice sculpture.

      Thanks! I froze sheets of ice on cookie sheets overnight and then smashed those a bit to create shards. Then “glued” the shards together and onto the ice ball with water. Froze almost instantly once I wet both surfaces coming in contact with each other due to the cold temperatures here (was about -30C or -22F). For the sphere I froze water in two metal bowls and them adhered them together with the same method above. It’s backlit with a little solar light that comes on once it is dark. Did it over several days as I could only work in short bursts with liquid water in those cold temps before my fingers got too cold or the water I was working with started freezing too.

      That is amazing! I can only imagine. You seem to enjoy the cold, or at least you take advantage of it. Too cold for me.
