My slowly growing peperomia collection (watermelon peperomia, variegated peperomia obtusifolia, and raindrop peperomia). Definitely recommend for anyone looking for low-maintenance foliage plants that really seem to thrive on neglect. The raindrop peperomia sadly arrived in the mail suffering from edema, but since these plants are practically succulent with how they hold water in their leaves, I’m hoping a good repotting and week or two of drought should bring her right back!

I love the watermelon one so much! The mini is on my *absolutely buy* list (even tho I’m out of plant space 🤭)

I have one sole south windowsill to work with on my first floor for all my succulents. That does not stop me whatsoever. I’ve started hiding them in my dad’s bedroom windowsill cause he got the south windows upstairs 😂

😂😂 nice!!! Hopefully he won’t mind too much! Or maybe he can build you one of those hanging shelfs so you can get more window sils in your window. I saw someone posted one their partner had made for them recent-ish. My pots are too big for the sil so only a couple make it there. My hubs recently bought “me” some plants (that he needs/uses for cooking) so they went into his SW facing office 🤣

He probably won’t 😂 he likes the idea of houseplants sprucing up the place as long as HE never has to remotely get involved in taking care of it. I’ll be sure to post if I manage to get some hanging shelving for my windowsills.

Btw it’s been a week so far and he still hasn’t noticed the new plants in his room 😂 granted, they’re intentionally hidden behind his curtains, but so far so good 😎

Nice!!! Glad they’ve made it in unnoticed. That’s always the fun part. 🤭🤭 doesn’t sound like he’d mind too much if he doesn’t have to care for them either.

My raindrop peperomia was overwatered and is drooping. Had a neighbor take care of the plants while i was away. Do you think it can recover?

Raindrop ones are one of the finickiest out of all the peperomias I’ve had. I’d take a look at the roots if it doesn’t recover within a week or so. They need a well-draining soil mix, but raindrop peps DON’T enjoy being repotted, so if you have to repot it or check the roots, buy some Bonide’s Rooting Hormone Powder FIRST and cover the roots in it before putting it in any new soil or pot. If the roots looks distressed or rotted, snip off any rotted roots, soak the roots in hydrogen peroxide for 20-30 minutes, gently pat it dry, then cover it in rooting powder and repot it in a well-draining soil. I swear by Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix for all of mine. Avoid any Miracle Grow brand soil because even their cactus mix isn’t well-draining enough for any Peperomia. Any Espoma or FoxFarm All-Purpose Mix with some added perlite and orchid bark should also work. Hope this helps! 😊
