Well, I’ve managed to kill off another herb. That makes 3 herbs in the graveyard in a very short amount of time. First it was Dill, then Basil and now Oregano. I’m starting to feel like a miserable failure when it comes to herbs. 😢

Nikkimy herbs have also been really finicky this year

ChristinaI keep over 200 and almost as many types of plant alive and thriving in my home. Have yet to keep an herb alive more than 2 months🤨😒😑🫤

Everything else is thriving but any herb? A joke lol. Chives are the only herblike plant im keeping alive and they’re indestructible. versus last year most of my house was herbs

CastleloveeMy dad used to have an herb garden and he would water it once a week and add the used coffee grounds to the soil. They sprouted and we used them a bunch but some herbs did die after a while. They might have been too close together…I don’t really know. Once I keep the plants I have alive long enough…I’m going to start up my herb garden. So, I’ll check back in !! (:

The trick to many plants is to learn where they're from. Most herbs are Mediterranean, so they like plenty of sun, less fertile soil than you'd expect, and to dry out between waterings. Next time, try adding plenty of perlite to your soil mix to help give them extra drainage. also yours looks like it might be dehydrated. Give it a bottom-watering soak for 20 minutes, let it drain really well, and see if it bounces back

And don't be discouraged! It's normal to kill about three of any given species/species group before you figure out what they need
