How long do you all think it will be for my Jade cutting, Trident, to show me he has obvious root development? And how will I know?

Have already waited over a week for the callus to form before potting today…

I see a possible problem. You have taken a very large cutting. This cutting has no roots to up take moisture and because of its size it will need quite a bit. A jade cutting would be best at about 2 inches. They root very quickly. About a couple weeks. I would start a new cutting. Let it callus a couple days then plant in some succulent soil. Use a squirt bottle and add a little water at the stem every few days. Do not water the entire pot. After a couple weeks, very gently pull up on the plant to see if there is some resistance. If there is then it is rooting. Your current plant is very etoliated and needs more light. By starting over you will have a much more attractive plant.
