Just a general question and poll, if your humidity level sits at 50% and above do you still mist regularly or just when leaves are unfurling?

I read so much about misting not really helping that I stopped. Never noticed a change at all. My humidity sits at 45% to 50%. I am starting to run a humidifier a few hours a day and puts me at 55% to 60%.
いいね 1件I also read the same about misting, but I still do it. Every little bit helps I guess, especially for those across the room from the humidifier. It gives me a moment to walk around and take a look at my plants individually as I'm doing it.
2件のいいねThat’s why I do it as well. I know it doesn’t really work. Plus humidity is below 40% here, with humidifiers running. But I touch all of those I mist.
いいね 1件It depends on what kinds of plants you have. I have some that require frequent watering and need high humidity. I find those will get crispy if I don’t mist them and I live in a pretty humid area.
2件のいいねI only mist the plants whose leaves can handle water on them directly, just in case, because a tiny boost in humidity is not worth eternal spots on my pretties!
いいね 1件I personally do not mist the ones I have in ambient (and my ambient is at 25-35%, thanks to winter.) The risk of fungal infection outweighs the benefits, especially that it is only a small spike in humidity, i shower them once a month and my philo, monstera, alocasias and begonias are doing well. The alocasias are in semi hydro so they also get a bit of humidity from that.

I have never misted in my life
2件のいいねMisting helps new monster’s leaves unfurl without damage, but I lived in Utah and humidity was pretty low
