She has many more plants in her garden, and I will say we'll be switching out her filter to a gentler, sponge filter for proper amount of flow. I love this fish 😭

    this is not a suitable setup for a betta :-( while you do have an okay size tank, that decor is not making her happy. even just from those blurry pictures, she looks stressed to me. betta need lots of greenery and places to hide or they can become extremely distressed and sickly. look into some fully aquatic plants for her to help her feel safer in her tank

      it's a lot better than other setups i've seen, i will give you credit for that. but even just two or three fully aquatic plants could help her out sooo much

      Alright but we absolutely have been... Some of her old ones died and we don't have money for more.

      if you have a petsmart in your area, they sell fully aquatic plants for pretty reasonable prices. you can also look in local no-buy facebook groups to see if there's any plants that would be okay with their roots in the tank like your pothos.

    Also get on Facebook and just ask the communities around you to see if anybody just has any aquarium plants they would be willing to give spawns from, I know my anubias growing like crazy so for a while there I was selling/giving them away
