Pilea are another finicky one I only have two variety and I feel like I constantly upset them lol. Too much sun too much water too much dry not enough light 🤷🏽‍♂️

Same! I’ve had three different Pilea species over the years. Two of them never really thrived, so I eventually just composted them. Even peperomioides is finicky with its curled leaves and not liking to be wet too long. The entire genus is trouble.

I have a dark mystery pilea that I'm still figuring out. Most of its leaves turned crispy in the first week and haven't recovered. Thankfully the new growth looks okay, but these definitely have a learning curve

Dang sorry to hear that. This one in particular has been the most resilient but if you zoom in there's crispy leaves. I know humidity is part of it but it just doesn't seem to like fluctuations at all. They must be used to being underneath the same trees with the same constant moisture and that's it lol
