Edit: I'm reading that golden crocodile is self heading, no pole needed...however, the plant i bought appears to be a climber, has aerial roots... is it a golden crocodile or something else?? Local greenhouse was having buy 1 get 1 50% off. I couldn't resist!! Im pretty sure the golden crocodile is variegated?? Or would variegated be more drastic? Something different? ..I can't pronounce Schismatoglottis Wallichii if there's another name for this that can be easily pronounced...lol..that would be awesome!

    The top pic is def a golden croc. I gave mine a moss pole just to help it out but they seem to be able to for the most part grow up on their own the Ring of fire that I have is very similar to that as well

      I did add a bendable coir pole, she had very much outgrown the pot she came in and very top heavy falling over. The tag read " golden crocodile " but as I got reading, questioned that accuracy. Either way, I love her, shes a keeper 😁 thank you for confirming for me!!

      Would you say it's variegated? None of the leaves are solid color. Or is this normal on a younger plant?

      It appears to have something going on. Maybe fungus?? Those spots are not normal.

      The younger leaves come in almost like an orange color and then they’ll fade to that golden neon color

    I dont agree with fungus. She's very healthy right down to roots. The spots are not raised, pitted, dry or wet. Not sure how to explain. She os quite different than other golden crocodile I've seen.. which is why I questioned if she really is.

    Oh yea, i see your spots too when i zoom in...mine are like that too just reddish..Only thing that made most sense is EFN"s...maybe sat in too much sun prior me buying? Idk... you can't feel the spots what so ever. Roots are beautiful, no bugs. Ill keep watch and see how new leaves unfurl. She's got one that looks like will be out soon.
