1 gillaThis is the typical root system for spider plants. They will grow more roots just like this after detangling. They like a snug pot. Itâs ok to keep it this tangled after repotting. The plant will fill in the new pot with roots. Also, the thick roots can break while separating spider plants. I would let the exposed root sections callous over before replanting.

Actually it looks like you have 3 or 4 plants there. I would break them apart from the top where you can see the different plants. Then repot each plant in a snug pot and youâll have 3 or 4 beautiful spider plants. Just a suggestion. Itâs what I did with one of my big ones last fall and itâs already refilling the pot. Iâm going to take the other apart as soon as I can do it outside. I give away most of the plant and save one to repot.
