I have a tall bamboo stick, but I also have heard it's not good to stake them. What would you do with fishing wire?

Was getting bad growth after moving had two new dead leaves trying to come out so chopped & now it’s thriving again & chopping helps branching off so I’m excited about that bc I’m thinking I might get two or three branches out of this chop!!
