My fittonia is on the verge of suicide, should I buy a terrarium / try and cut it down / leave it be ???

    Oh jeez. I’ve also had issues with Fittonia (or maybe it’s the other way around?). They are only happy in constant high humidity conditions, so terrarium would definitely help. Good luck!!

    I suggest downsizing the pot by about 1 inch in diameter. Make sure it has both good moisture retention and good drainage in its soil mix (more retention at the top, more drainage at the very bottom). Then just water it relatively frequently; these are thirsty by nature (once or twice a week should do). Also just check the roots and see if there's any weird packaging from the store; sometimes nurseries use shipping materials that can be bad for the plant if they're not removed
