Made an impulsive purchase because I saw this IKEA Detolf Cabinet on the Facebook marketplace. My humidity loving plants are already thriving here! Some new leaves have unfurled quicker than normal. All that is left is to customize it more. Will share updates ✨
1. Congratulations and welcome to the club 2. I highly suggest joining the ikeagrowcabinetclub on either Facebook or reddit for tons of ideas on customizing 3. You are about to suffer from major mold. You should get at least 1 fan per level. I use computer fans and hold them up with magnets on the other side of the glass. Use the groups I suggested to find links to supplies I mentioned or other ideas. Have fun!
PS if you do have mold issues before you can upgrade, make a 9 to 1 ratio solution of water and alcohol and spray directly on the mold once every day or two until it stops.

2개 좋아요 Thank you so much for the advice. I will join the Facebook group. Youtube has helped a lot but having recommendations for the accessories is even better. I have ordered extra accessories to further customize the cabinet like fans, waterproof lights and wire shelves to improve airflow in there. Luckily the previous owner gave me the magnets he used so I will definitely use those.

beautiful!! i see everyone going off with their cabinets filled with fans and humidifiers.. i can’t imagine! they all look so cool! i just slapped some grow lights on the roof of mine and it’s been great. don’t feel like you need to spend all this extra money! there will already be higher humidity in the cabinet because of the enclosed environment. i haven’t found humidifiers or fans necessary. that being said. enjoy your new cabinet and have fun with decorating it!!!! everyone does things differently, i love to see!!
