This tradescantia was super leggy, so I gave her a massive pruning and propagated the trimmings. Below you’ll see before, present and the propagated cuttings. It only took 6 weeks to reach this new bushy state and she’s still growing like crazy! A good lesson in pruning!

Tradescantias do better after a trim. Is this a Baby Bunny Belly? It will have cashmere soft purple leaves with dark purple under the leaves. Lack of sufficient light/water/fertilizer can cause it to lose color, drop leaves and become leggy. I suspect your plant needs more light assuming you water and fertilize when needed. Bright indirect light will bring out the color and markings. My tradescantia picture from a month ago. It stayed in a south facing window all winter getting filtered light. It doubled in length. I just moved it to my north facing patio where it stayed last summer and it already lost leaves. I will have to trim it. It looks nothing like the picture any more😁 They quickly recover, thankfully. 🍀🪴
