I'm new to this particular group and I just had to post this picture from the past summer. This is a night blooming cereus that I have grown from a leaf cutting. Not sure exactly how old it is but at least 5 years maybe seven or eight and this last summer is the first time it's giving me a bloom. So excited about it.

2 gillningarThanks, I was up half the night waiting for the big event. They bloom between 9:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and they only stay open one day.

0 gillningarIt seems like the dragon fruit it does the same thing so is pollinated by night bats or they have to be pollinated by hand to produce the dragon fruits
0 gillningarI suppose the night blooming cereus has fruit but I saw no bats and did not pollinate myself so I doubt that I'm going to see any fruit.
