I'm new to this particular group and I just had to post this picture from the past summer. This is a night blooming cereus that I have grown from a leaf cutting. Not sure exactly how old it is but at least 5 years maybe seven or eight and this last summer is the first time it's giving me a bloom. So excited about it.

2개 좋아요Thanks, I was up half the night waiting for the big event. They bloom between 9:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and they only stay open one day.

0개 좋아요It seems like the dragon fruit it does the same thing so is pollinated by night bats or they have to be pollinated by hand to produce the dragon fruits
0개 좋아요I suppose the night blooming cereus has fruit but I saw no bats and did not pollinate myself so I doubt that I'm going to see any fruit.
