It's going to be pretty đ€©
2 J'aimeCongrats! Iâve got its cousin, sedum morganianum. If youâre new to this plant, Iâd be happy to share some care tips Iâve picked up from caring for mine if youâd like đ
2 J'aimeSure !
0 J'aimeSo for starters, youâre gonna find out pretty fast that the âbeansâ are very fragile and fall off very easily. Theyâre really easy to propagate when this happens, so just sprinkle them on top of the soil and theyâll start forming roots on their own within a few weeks. To avoid losing the beans often, youâll probably want to bottom-water it. Also helps avoid overwatering it or attracting gnats and other pests to the soil up top. Theyâve got a fairly shallow root system, so expect losing a lot of beans during a repot. Because of that, you might want a wider, but shallower pot once it starts to get bigger, and you donât need to remove all of the soil during a repot if you want to reduce the risk of shock. I use Espomaâs cactus and succulent mix for mine. Lastly, try to avoid rubbing any of the thin âfilmâ off of the leaves. It acts like sunscreen for the plant and it doesnât regenerate when itâs gone, so if it loses a lot of that film from being knocked over or arrived that way, you might want to pull it a little farther from of a south-facing window to avoid the leaves getting burned. I keep mine in a south facing window, but would probably opt for a south-west or southeast facing window if anything removed the film from it. And because of the film, I would avoid trying to wipe the leaves with insecticidal soap or anything. Iâve never had a problem with pests with this plant, but because of that, if you ever have a pest problem, try to keep this one away from any infected plants cause itâll be considerably harder to treat.
1 j'aimeSorry for the long response đ I really love mine and sheâs gotta be one of the lowest maintenance plants I have. Hope yours treats you as well as mine has đ
1 j'aimeThank you so much I currently have mine with my other succulents under a grow light for 12-13 hours a day should thrive in there my cactus are also with my succulents. I have a huge 70 gallon tank I use to put my plants in.
1 j'aimeCool! Love the pink lights! I have a tank Iâve been meaning to turn into a little indoor herb garden, actually đ±
