A care tip is to leave the plants in a plastic pot then put the pot in the decorative pot. Bcs it’s easier to look/maintain the roots. But hey i put some of my plants in those pots as well without plastic bcs it looks better in my opinion. Just a preference and choice.

Thanks for the tips. These are plastic pots with drainage and trays.

I can give you some tips for the watermelon peperomia! - Peperomias are epiphytic, which means they need very well-draining soil to survive as a houseplant. Don’t repot them in anything of Miracle Grow brand, even their cactus mix, cause it isn’t well-draining for this plant. I swear by Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix for mine. - the leaves don’t like getting wet. An easy way to water it without getting the leaves wet is to place the plant (while still in its pot) into a bowl/container, filling the container with water, let it sit in the water for 10-20 minutes, then take it out to drain in a sink or dry over a terra cotta saucer. - an easy way to tell if the soil is dry enough to water is to stick a bamboo/barbecue skewer all the way into the bottom of the soil, and pull it out. If the soil sticks to it, wait at least 2 days, then check again. If the skewer comes out clean and dry, with nothing sticking to it, it should be safe to water. I wait about 11-14 days for mine before watering. - don’t mist it, even if the app says to. Again, this plant doesn’t really like getting the leaves wet. They tend to do just fine without extra humidity - they don’t like the cold or drafts, so pull it from the windowsill in the winter and avoid placing it somewhere near drafty windows, air vents, or frequently opening doors. - they do well in north or east/west-facing windows, or getting at least 2-4 hours of sunlight. - they like being more snug in their pots, so don’t repot it in anything more than 1-2 inches wider in diameter than the width of the plant’s rootball. As for pots, I’d opt for a plastic pot with multiple drainage holes or terra cotta pots with at least one large drainage hole. Avoid glazed ceramic pots, anything without a drainage hole, and self-watering plants for this one.
