1 likeIf you're okay with a terrarium or misting them every day, mosses are cute
2 likesI thought about that but where do you get them?
2 likesThere are some etsy sellers for common ones. You can also collect them from the wild (just be sure to preserve the wild colony of moss. Only pick up little sections of large, well established mosses or pieces that were already disturbed. I've managed to find 9 different species just in my yard. Also check the rules before taking any from parks; some have very rare or vulnerable species that need to be left alone.) It's also possible to get terrarium mosses from pet shops (the ones that stock terrarium supplies are those that sell frogs, insects, and reptiles), and sometimes you can find live mosses growing in the soil of larger plants
1 likeThank you so much!!! I would never have thought to look at a pet store!!!
1 likeI’m obsessed with my mini tree cholla!! It looks like a baby saguaro and I’ve had her for probably 3 years now🌵

1 likeA lot of air plant species stay small & Xerographica, which can get very large is a very slow grower. I’ve had mine for a few years and while she has grow more leaves she is still the same 6”-ish across as when I bought her. Tephrocactus geometricus is also a slow growing plant that can be purchased quite small. African violets/primulina’s are also often relatively small (not over 12” across max). And a lot of succulents will stay modestly sized or grow very slowly. My jade plant is one I got from small cuttings and is still in a 3” pot after about 3 years.
