I bought these little beauts today, I was drawn to them 😍 However, it wasn't until I brought them home that I did a little research and found that the Red Nerve plant is rather fussy and probably not the best plant for someone as inexperienced as me. Has anyone else got one of these and have any little tips or advice to keep her happy please?

I second what Mindy said. I have one of mine in a self watering pot my other two I have in a terrarium and they seem to do rather well in either.

I will keep a close eye on her and make sure she doesn't dry out and get her a self watering pot at the weekend. Thank you for the advice! 😊

I have two nerve plants. I have them on pebble trays and use a humidifier near them everyday. They are doing amazingly. Full disclosure: I have killed two previously because I didn’t know to keep them in high humidity!

Thank you Buffy, I was hoping misting it every few days would help with the humidity and I've now ordered a self watering (wicking) plant pot in the hope it'll stay moist but without overwatering. I'll keep a close eye on her for any negative changes and adjust things if need be. I'm sure I'll be back on here seeking more help 😊 Thank you.

Ima a newbie and have nerve plants and they are doing well right now. I just make sure they get water. But do not overwater them! My mom has one that has gotten.l huge. She had to put in stakes because they are getting so tall and leggy in her pot. Yet they still look full. I wish I took pictures when I was there this week.

Well, I'm about to repot my nerve plant into this self watering pot today. I'm not really sure what I'm doing, for example, not sure how far up the wick needs to be in the soil. But as the pot is only marginally bigger than the one it's in, I'll have to put some soil in the bottom of the main pot and will have to lay the wick on top of that and then down through the holes into the reservoir, then put the plant and existing soil on top of the wick and new soil and just hope it draws enough moisture up to the plant roots. Only time will tell I guess 🤞

Hi again, I've put the nerve plant in the above pot and just wondered, do I need to make sure the reservoir always has water in it now or could that lead to root rot? I'm very new to this self watering pot thing. Thanks in advance.
