CheshireJust make sure you water with rainwater, or distilled water because added chemicals will really harm them! Also lots of light and LOTS of humidity ^^ if this is your first VFT don’t get nervous if the traps start browning in winter, they’ll grow back in spring, good luck 💗🌿🎀

Thank you! This is my first VFT. I also heard that if you set off one of the traps with no bug in it, that’s not good for the plant either. Not sure how I would set them off. Is that a thing? I would like to take it out of the store pot but got nervous.

You could totally take it out the pot, just be careful. You can accidentally set off a trap by touching or putting something in the “mouth” of it. Just be careful not to touch the trap, get any dirt in it, and use a VERY fine mist so the drops don’t set one off
