I feel like the luckiest girl ever!! My hubby works with a guy who’s mom was looking to rehome her rubber tree plant. Well, he asked all the guys at work and my hubby said ‘my wife is into plants. I’m sure she would take it.’ Well dug! Of course I would/will/did lol. Well here she is. Her name is Audrey. They already named her so I will keep it that. She also gifted me the Thanksgiving cactus that is about to bloom. It has soooo many buds on it. Any advice on how to care for a rubber tree plant. 🪴

my rubber tree plant is one of my most low maintenance! I always wait until the soil is completely dry before watering otherwise the bottom leaves start to fall off. it loves my east facing window/morning sun!

Let it dry out, all the way. I check with a chopstick, all the way to the bottom and water if it’s clean. Leaves will droop and become a bit soft when time to water (also if being watered too much so always check soil). It is a ficus, and needs a lot of light, right in a window or a give it a grow light.

Wow, I can't wait for my guy to get that tall!! As the others said, I also wait until the soil's completely dry to water. I fertilize once a month April-September and skip the ferts October-March, except for once in late January/early February. I keep mine under a grow light and try to turn him regularly (but you can tell I'm forgetful because of the way he leans lol) Also what a fantastic hubby you have! Mine definitely isn't so willing to let more plants in 😂
