So excited! I bought this violet on clearance with no blooms. There were a lot of blooming ones in different colors, so I had no idea what this was going to look like. It went a few months with nothing to show but now it has all these buds and 3 more flower stems starting to grow. It’s going to be gorgeous if I can keep it healthy!
Any tips? I just got my first violet!
0개 좋아요 Well, I repotted it in a chunky soil mix, and I use filtered water and Liqui-dirt plant food every time I water. I let it get dry on top before watering. It lives in my bathroom, so it’s the only plant I have that gets enough humidity. The window is south facing, but there’s a big bush and a porch, so it gets dappled sunlight.
좋아요 1개Never get the leaves wet when watering. The fuzz on them can trap water and cause rotting. Otherwise they're very hardy plants that can come back from almost anything
2개 좋아요 Thanks all! Mine is in a north facing window but gets very bright indirect... hoping that will suffice but debating moving her to a south window dappled light situation
