So excited! I bought this violet on clearance with no blooms. There were a lot of blooming ones in different colors, so I had no idea what this was going to look like. It went a few months with nothing to show but now it has all these buds and 3 more flower stems starting to grow. It’s going to be gorgeous if I can keep it healthy!
Any tips? I just got my first violet!
0 Me gusta Well, I repotted it in a chunky soil mix, and I use filtered water and Liqui-dirt plant food every time I water. I let it get dry on top before watering. It lives in my bathroom, so it’s the only plant I have that gets enough humidity. The window is south facing, but there’s a big bush and a porch, so it gets dappled sunlight.
1 me gustaNever get the leaves wet when watering. The fuzz on them can trap water and cause rotting. Otherwise they're very hardy plants that can come back from almost anything
2 Me gusta Thanks all! Mine is in a north facing window but gets very bright indirect... hoping that will suffice but debating moving her to a south window dappled light situation
