I got my first alocasia, named “Polly,” today. I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞that she grows healthy, as it seems like a challenging plant to care for. 🙏🏽 Any tips?

    Bottom watering and LOTS of light and I kid you not, it’s a walk in the park. One of my favorite plants growing tbh. Especially because every leaf is bigger and more detailed than the last!!

    I’m fresh into the Alocasia game myself! Just got these two in the last week from my favorite plant shop in Orlando! Here’s Falcor and Excalibur!!!🥳🪴 Also, check out the Alocasia Aficionado group in here too…pretty sure that’s the name.

    Be patient with yourself and her. She will tell you what she wants if you listen. She might throw a fit through acclimation. They don’t like to be moved in my experience. Find her a bright spot with high humidity and leave her. Godspeed!! 💚💚

      I hope my location is bright enough but I’ll keep checking to see how she does. Would you recommend misting often to add some humidity?

      Absolutely not. Missing in my experience only causes issues. Humidifier or grouping all your plants together is better. 💚
